Asim A. Humayun is a partner at Mohammadi & Humayun, LLC located in the heart of Rockville, Maryland. He practices criminal defense and general civil litigation. Mr. Humayun had focused his early years as an attorney at the Office of the Public Defender in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. and then subsequently at the office of the Public Defender in Montgomery County, Maryland. Mr. Humayun has extensively litigated criminal matters, including driving under the influence, assault, burglary, child sex abuse, distribution, and attempted murder. He also often negotiates and structures alternate resolutions with the State's Attorneys' Office on behalf of his clients in their best interest. Additionally. Mr. Humayun has done significant domestic violence, personal injury and general civil litigation.
Mr. Humayun continues to guest lecture at the University of Maryland on legal topics pertaining to the 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendments of the United States Constitution. Focusing specifically on the rights and protections afforded to citizens, and more importantly, how to exercise them for real world implementation.
Mr. Humayun earned his J.D. in 2012 from Delaware Law School, where he graduated with Certificates or Recognition in Criminal Law and Trial Advocacy. Mr. Humayun served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association, President of the South Asian Student Bar Association, Social Chair for Phi Alpha Delta, Inc. and represented his University in numerous national trial and mediation competitions. He is a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and has been selected as a Maryland Super Lawyers Rising Star every year since 2015 to 2021. Mr. Humayun received his BA in 2007, from University of Maryland. College Park. He is admitted to the bar in Maryland and is fluent in Urdu.
